Dear Subscriber,
Welcome to the Travel 4 Life! Newsletter!
Here you
will find examples of character education, where the
rubber hits the world road. I will discuss those
qualities that contribute to the make up and creation
of a sound and positive citizen of the world. Exploring
areas of respect, fairness, honesty, responsibility,
caring and others as I travel the globe. The
intention is to show that these qualities are learned
not only in the United States, but everywhere in the
world.

We are all teachers in one way or another, and
some of the biggest lessons are not learned in the
classroom, but outside the walls of the school.
Character education is taught ongoing by the
actions of those around us we admire and respect.
As I travel on my next journey, I will be sharing my
experiences in an attempt to identify and reinforce
the belief that positive character education has
universal value.
This newsletter will contain a brief description of an
experience that will be usable for teachers to talk
about a specific character quality. Followed by bullet
points of lessons learned through the experience.
It will also provide a wonderful opportunity for
students to learn about foreign cultures and customs
that may differ dramatically from their own.
